Location
Conference & Cultural Center
The center is located almost in the center of thw University campus
in the main junction of Polytexneioy and Ippocratous Streets.
It provides 500 parking places and appropriate facilities for dissabled persons.
The Conference wil be held in:
- the Main Hall (Ι-1), for the Opening Day Sessions
- the Auditorium (Ι-4), for the 2nd 7 3rd Day Sessions
- the Parallel Meeting Hall (Ι-10), for parallel sessions
Transportation
From Patras to University and Conference Center
By car
Coming from the centre of Patras, follow Korinthou Street to its end. Then, you should follow Panepistimiou
Street and after the indoor athletic stadium "Dimitrios Tofalos" you turn on the right, following the signs.
By bus
The Number 6 bus for Rion, which leaves from the bus terminal that is located downtown, runs every ten to fifteen
minutes and connects the University with the city. Since some buses go directly to the town of Rion, bypassing the
campus, it is advisable to ask before boarding if the specific bus goes to Panepistimio (University).
Tickets cost 0,85 € (one way).
By taxi
here are about one thousand taxis available in the city of Patras. Many taxis work on a 24-hour basis.
You can hire a taxi at a taxi stand. Main taxi stands are located to Central Square of George B', as well as in Bus and Train Central Stations.

From Athens to the University
By car
From Athens, via the national road Athens-Patras you must follow the right junction right after the toll posts.
There is a certain notice leading to the University Hospital of Rion, which you follow. After some distance the
road is separated in two and you follow the left way that passes underneath the bridge. Just then you see the
University Hospital where the Campus begins.
By Train
In Athens there are two railway stations; The Peloponissos Railway Station, serving South-western Greece,
including Patras, and the Larissa Railway Station, which serves northen Greece, as well as European cities.
The stations are located close to each other, not too far from the center of the city. In Patras, the railways
station is located in the town centre, near the harbour and the coach station. There are daily services to and
from Athens as well as all the major offshore cities of the Peloponnese. The trip from Athens to Patras lasts
about 3,5 hours, by the Intercity express train. Timetables are available by
the Hellenic Railways Organization(OSE).
By Coach
Patras is connected with Athens by regular coach services http://www.ktel.org/, every 30'
(the trip lasts about 2,5 hours). In Athens, the main coach station is called "KTEL Peloponissou", at 100 Kifissou Str.,
telephone: +30 210 5124910. In Patras, the coach station is located at the centre of Patras, at 2 Zaimi Str. and
Othonos Amalias Str., telephone: +30 2610 623886-8.There are also daily coach services to all major cities of Greece,
the Ionian Islands and the well-known archaeological sites (Olympia, Delphi, Kalavryta).
From Rio Bridge to the University of Patras
Follow the first bridge exit to the right to the east dock.
Follow the signs to the University, drive under the New National Road bridge and turn right.
On your left hand you'll see the University Hospital where the university campus begins.
Turn left and then right to Polytexneiou Street. After 500m you will meet the Conference Center on your left hand.
